The Kalahari Melon, also known as the Tsamma Melon grows across the Kalahari Desert and is an important source of water for the KhoiSan that travel within these dry regions of Africa. A person can survive for six weeks on an exclusive diet of Kalahari Melon. The melons are planted according to demands and therefore have a more elastic supply, making this a more sustainable source than other oils extracted from mature trees. 

Kalahari Melon is an excellent source of omega-6 essential fatty acid and has a high phytosterol content. The oil content of the Kalahari Melons seeds is approximate 50%. It has an omega-6 essential fatty acid composition that gives has powerful skin moisturizing and restructuring properties.
